Goodbye Dear Friend

Last night a very dear friend lost her battle with cancer. She fought it for nearly two years, after being told she only had three months maximum. The Welsh dresser in her dining room was filled with get well cards, all containing 'hugs' from people whose lives had been touched by this incredible woman. When she was first diagnosed, she was determined to beat it by receiving 'hugs' from everyone she knew and she knew a lot of people! Sadly the hugs weren't enough but she did say that she's had the best year of her life.

Mr E and I have so much to thank her for. 21 years ago she suggested to him that he might like a certain artist who worked in a studio across the road. He popped in to see who this person was. It was love at first sight.....we were married 18 months later :)
