Walking the dogs in Hollinhurst Woods

Today Tuesday after shopping we took the dogs to Hollinhurst Woods Allerton Bywater. it was really hot so the walk through the woods was lovely and cool. This is Paula waiting for me to take the photo. I took quite a few but picked this and the ones in extra as best. I love the dappled sunlight through the trees. My mum used to live in sheltered housing which backs onto these woods. Nearby in Bowers Row there are still some of the old prefabricated houses that were put up after the war, they have been updated a bit but still going strong. Will try and get a pic of them later.

On the way home we passed a house which was selling plums at £1 a bag couldn't resist 2 bags full, they are Victoria Plums delicious. He leaves them outside and you put the money in a safe place for him, later he will have lovely desert apples for sale.
