Fledgling Blue Dykie

I grew up calling these Blue Dykies.  I always assumed it was Cumbrian and based round the lovely light sky blue of their eggs.  This week Clickychick informs me it is Scottish in origin.  Well yes I grew up within 30 miles or so of the border but I am still not convinced.

Most people know the Blue Dykie as a Dunnock these days and before that a Hedge Sparrow.  It certainly isn't a Sparrow being a member of the Accentor group.

A usual quiet day round home and pottering in the garden.
