Comparison

On the right stands the old and trusty, probably 22 year-old Kenwood which recently died of exhaustion. On the left stands its brand new replacement straight out of the box. I thought I'd take their portraits before getting the new one to work on the peppers because there is nothing quite like red peppers to stain things permanently. By the end of the day I had 6 litres of red pepper sauce having chosen not to add the prescribed quantities of vinegar and sugar and having given away 5kg of fruit. Just hoping the new machine can cope with the scale of it all! Having to take long breaks to preserve the motor.

The new machine is lighter and more compact and has suckers for feet!
The Sony's exposure compensation dial came into its own for this :-)
