Wireframe staircase

We stayed in the Schloss Aschach and der Donau, near Linz (Northern Austria).

This place dates from the 1500s and was a favourite visiting place for Austro-Hungarian dignitaries on their way along the upper Danube. Once surrounded by a large 'English park' this has been sold off over the years and the house is now completely surrounded by industrial works - grain silos and concrete works. The Schloss itself has been restored and you can stay there. It is the first time I have ever slept in a room with a 6 metre ceiling.

Strangely the main stair case was white painted with all features and angles highlighted in blue, giving it a curious 'Tron-like' computer wireframe look.
