Arched Tower

The interior of the Great Tower at Aigues-Mortes- a fantastic walled city dating from the time of the crusades. The tower walls are very thick and would have kept any attacker at a safe distance, whilst the town walls are still intact and only passable through gates at select points.

It's been really hot all day with very strong sun and lots of tourists (we are visitors not tourists) who kept getting into pictures and far too many children everywhere!!!

It was a long drive and we are now back at the villa preparing for a BBQ - I must pack my case as I head back to the UK in the morning; the rest of the group are leaving on Saturday morning. It's been a fantastic and very successful tour overall.
