Migrant in Moscow

A Place in the Sun

"There is nothing more precious than independence and freedom"

So reads the inscription on Uncle Ho's statue in Moscow.  Ho Chi Minh traveled in and out of Moscow several times during the 1920s and 1930s (in between time in Paris, London, and reportedly, also New York, to China too).  In Moscow, he attended the grandly named (and short-lived) "University of the Toilers of the East" in 1923.  Have revolution will travel!

Post Blip: I went back though my journal to see where I had blipped Ho 'in situ' - and found him in this series of blips in Hanoi - on 3 July 2014 and in this second series too - on 21 Septemeber 2014].
