Lovers' Leap at Pictured Rocks

What gorgeous weather we had for our cruise on Lake Superior around the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore with temps in the low 70s. I took over 300 pictures so choosing the one to give you the best image of the splendor was a challenge. Notice the colors of the Lake. It varied from a very intense blue to a vivid green and the layered multi-colored rock formations simply took your breath away. Today is the 100th anniversary of The National Park Service and my hubby's 65th birthday. We could not have found a better US park for our joint celebration although we have several on our itinerary. The park rangers had cake and cookies in the visitor center so my worry about a birthday cake was for naught. Everyone even sang Happy Birthday to both celebrants. Same experience at dinner. On a scale of 1-10, our day was 10+!
