Norman Rockwell....

....This life sized statue of Norman Rockwell sits on the main corner of the Greendale Village Center. He is "painting" the Village Hall, but when the statue is turned, the painting changes to a different view, so that it will appear he's painting whichever part of the the Village he's facing.
For years Greendale has been marketed as "a Norman Rockwell-type of town", so the Village council felt that the Rockwell sculpture would help maintain the vitality of the Village Center and would help bring in more people. I think it's pretty cool, & while I photographed it from the back so as to see the painting, from the front it looks exactly like him!
