Wound up in Wexford

Edinburgh queue

We continued our journey up the A1.  En route we were lured for a loo stop to a place selling fuchsias.  We didn't really want to transport a box of plants to Edinburgh and then home again, and planned to stop off again on the way back.  Fortunately, we told the owner, and he told us that they are not open on Tuesday.  So we had to make our purchases there and then.  One in particular took our fancy - a climber called "Lady in Black".  They are now residing on my sister's balcony.

We then took the bus in to the centre, and sampled the festival.  I have never been to Edinburgh at festival time before.  We had tickets for Fascinating Aida, but had been warned that we should join the queue as early as possible.  In fact we were almost at the front.

The show was everything we would expect from the trio.

We then had a pizza in a place called the Gilded Balloon, and discovered this is the Students' Union in "normal times".  And on to a medico-political talk by Phil Hammond.  And home on the bus.  And a good night's sleep.

Now relaxing whilst chaos reigns around me, as breakfast is prepared.
