It began with me putting a few things to one side, and now... well I'm more or less completely packed for the West Highland Way... a week early!

We're allowed a 20kg bag each apart from the stuff in our day pack and, although I knew it was a generous allowance, I hadn't fully appreciated just how generous.  So the fact that my bag of snacks weighs about 4kg is neither here nor there, and I think I can probably put more footwear in to give me a choice of three pairs.  All the times I travelled with just a 10kg allowance has paid off :-)
