A colourful sight...

...as the Tall Ships pass St Mary's Lighthouse and start on their way to Gothenburg.
The extra may be Farishta's ship, the Oosterschelde - I was on phone camera for the main blip, and at the limit of my compact camera's zoom for the extra, but I asked a guy with a huge lens if he could read the name and it seemed right! My telephoto lens was tucked away safely at home in Yorkshire ;(
Loads of people turned out to watch, but we did a sneaky backstreet park and managed to bypass the traffic to get quite close. They had a lovely day to set sail too, with a fleet of smaller boats escorting them on their way. Hope the North Sea is kind...
