No mystery

Except what plant it belongs to. My neighbour had the plant inside in a small pot but when she put it out in the garden it grew into a tree.
The seed pod twists like a flax pod and the seeds that are so tightly packed inside spill out.
I wanted to catch it twirling but that didn't work out so here it is lying curved.
