This massive flagpole and flag were put up when we hosted the soccer world cup in 2010. This photo was taken looking towards the CBD with the Donkin lighthouse and memorial on the left. I will take a close up of the Donkin memorial for another blip and give its history. I was so pleased I took this photo when we went to the gym this morning as it is now pouring with rain and miserable!!
