Life's a beach

We had glorious sunshine for Esther's first trip to the beach. We went to Blackpool Sands, the most beautiful beach I have visited in the UK, where a good friend held her wedding reception a couple of years ago. We spent the day timing each other filling pop bottles with pebbles which was surprisingly very entertaining while the boy splashed about in the sea fully clothed. Finished off with crab sandwiches.

A lot of effort went into capturing this photo. As soon as the boy got out of the shot Esther would fill her hands with pebbles and bring them up to her mouth. Everyone on the beach was watching us in amusement.
