Life in Newburgh on Ythan

By Talpa

The sprouts are as high as an elephant's eye.

The raised bed, the construction of which left me sair forfochen back in June, is beginning to prove its worth. One good aspect of a wet summer is the way that the vegetables have thrived, despite the best efforts of the wood-pigeons, and despite 3 weeks of total neglect whilst we were on holiday.
The young under-gardener is well impressed!
