Sussing it out

Fell Foot Park was suggested as a good place for a Blipmeet, but we had never been there and thought it might be good idea to visit beforehand. So this afternoon we drove down to Windermere, found it and had a look round.

It is a great place and we can’t think why we have never been before. Ideal for a Blipmeet, so below are a few details. This is a view down the Lake from a path, which runs alongside the water.

Blipmeet
This is an opportunity to meet rainie and Doug during their visit from New Zealand to our part of the world. Rainie has many followers and quite a number are meeting up with her, as they travel through Ireland and Scotland. They end their visit with a few days in the Lake District.

Blipmeet: Saturday 17th September
Time: around 11am
Place: Fell Foot Park, Windermere

The place opens on Saturdays at 9am, mainly for a Parkrun, so Blippers can arrive when they like, but I am suggesting that we meet around 11am in the café. The Park is National Trust managed, so people who are not members will have to pay for car parking. There is no entrance fee. Dogs on leads are allowed in the Park.

If we meet in the café for coffee, then everyone can decide what else they want to do, probably dependent to a certain extent on the weather. It’s lovely to just walk by the Lake, but there are lots of other activities on offer, water-based or not.

There are more details of the Park here, for those who have never been. And I've located it on the map.
