Day to day today

Port Lympne

At enormous cost, to me, we went to Port Lympne today. The girls had asked to go as they'd seen leaflets about the safaris. I can't say it lived up to the hype, as most of the animals were specks in the distance. We did see antelopes and wildebeest very close up, but it was giraffes and zebra that we really wanted to see. There weren't even many to see in their enclosures - they all seemed to be hiding! Howletts next time, I think.

Just about the last enclosure we passed was the gorillas and this baby and two adults were feeling a bit more sociable so we watched them for a while. I could have done without the adults playing tug of war with the baby but he didn't seem too phased by it.

We went to Folkestone on the way home, and had dinner on the Big Greek Bus on the Harbour Arm, which was great fun - and we ate too much!!
