Exposed

In my professional life I see a fair amount of behaviour that is perhaps best described by the expression "fake it until you make it".
To a keen observer this is usually accompanied by two strong undercurrents, one of which is the fear of being exposed as a fraud, as not belonging or not being good enough.
The other is a loss of identity, a blurring of lines where it becomes gradually less clear what is real and what is the projected image.

Today was service commencement date for an important new client. Pressure from senior management has been intense over the last month and a lot of people were on edge, with just those behaviours on show.

In the end it all went well and it gave me a topic for today's blip.
