Australian coot

Big stretch showing the very large semi palmated feet. Great morning with Blipper flying - we'd planned to go to the estuary at Ashley, but after hearing about the big East Cape quake we decided it would be rather hard to relax on a sand spit with no high ground and a tsunami warning out!

As it turned out we had a great time up the Ashley River, and at Northbrook Waters where we saw the coot.
