Priory Banners

This was the nearest I got to the museum today.  There were electricians trailing wires all over the upper storeys and I wasn't allowed to open up.  The Stars and Stripes were presented by a fighter group stationed in Christchurch during World War Two.

High drama in my back garden.  I wasn't in time to prevent Mr or Mrs Woodpigeon from being mauled by a big ginger tom.  The pigeon flew off, but I think must have died from its injuries as there is now a solitary miserable pigeon.  Woodpigeons mate for life.  Then something - ginger tom? fox? - knocked the bird bath off its pedestal and it's too heavy for me to put back.  The birds are avoiding the garden at the moment.  Can't say I blame them.
