Tarn Hows and the Langdales

This morning Mr Rat went for a hill run while I did some shopping for Mum.
After lunch we took her to Tarn Hows, somewhere she wanted to go and hadn't been for ages. We took her wheelchair but the path, although well surfaced and said to be wheelchair-friendly, is too hilly and we could only manage a short way round. I reckon it would only be possible with an electrically powered chair - or a very strong person and very light passenger. She enjoyed going, anyway.
We drove back via Elterwater, with a bit more sunshine than earlier, and a café before eating Cumbrian lamb for out tea (very tasty).
