Swallows

Today's the day ......................... to preen

A real sign that summer has finished - and autumn is well and truly here.

There must have been a hundred swallows on the overhead telegraph wires stretching across the neighbouring field.  They were all giving themselves a good preening - no doubt in preparation for the long trip south to warmer climes.

They'll be off very soon .............
