78 rpm

I dug out these 80 year old 78 rpm records from the loft, this afternoon, for my niece.  She has a gramophone that can play 78 rpm records whereas we do not any longer.  The record at the bottom left is a recording privately made in Scarborough of a choir with which my paternal grandmother is performing.  The one in the centre is the Barber of Seville overture as performed by the Comedy Harmonists using only voice sounds.  Nowadays this would be called 'beatboxing' but it's certainly not a new art as this record demonstrates.
