Old Glory, Rowe's Wharf

A beautiful day for a long walk in Boston -- clear blue skies, low humidity, and cool breezes.  We went down to the waterfront, and strolled for about three miles along the HarborWalk -- a 47-mile waterfront walk along the Massachusetts Bay.  This is a huge American flag which flies proudly in the magnificent archway at Rowe's Wharf.  Rowe's Wharf was designed by the famous Chicago architecture firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill in 1987.

We had a delicious lunch sitting outdoors in the sunshine on a terrace at the Boston Harbor Hotel, enjoying the people-watching and all the nautical activity, and then strolled through the North End before returning to our apartment with tired feet!

Wishing our darling grand daughter Nora a very happy 2nd Birthday today!  Where, oh where has the time flown to?
