Now & Then

Then was back in February.  And this is the same sign.  And it hasn't been a dry summer.

Our friend Ina was through for a visit and we went down to Schierstein to walk along the river and then to go for dinner. It really is a cracking walk along the Rhein - and we were in time to see storks come back to the nest which is always good.

The restaurant was a bit chaotic.  The waitresses normally have these pdas that send your order in and then you get served really quickly.  Today they were using paper and one could say that it wasn't a seamless and transparent change.  We ordered things and then after 20 minutes ordered them again and when the bill came both orders were on the bill - and stuff like that.  The waitresses were really nice but more than a little clueless.

Still - lovely to see Ina again and it was fun chatting outside as the sun went down.
