Margaret Island

Day three of Danube River Cruise.  Early in the morning Dave and I headed off to explore Budapest on bikes.  We rode over the beautiful chain Bridge, built in 1849 which is a symbol of Budapest, to ride along the left bank of Pest.  The weather was perfect for our bike ride.  It was about five miles to the bridge to Margaret Island in the heart of the city.  The Island was delightful with musical foundations and trails filled with beautiful trees and flora.  Since it was Sunday, the island was filled with people enjoying the warm weather and the  beauty of the Island. In the afternoon we took a tour of some family-run wineries in the wine region of Hungary.  It was very fun and relaxing day!
