The Lundy Eye

Country comes to town

One of my favourite nature reserves is on the outskirts of Motherwell, in urban Lanarkshire.
Barons Haugh is one of these places where you can find more than 50 species of birds in one day, a host of butterflies, flowers, I've even seen foxes and otters. Yet it's on the outskirts of a very populous town.
This pic was taken through a fence looking towards the loch which only had a few ducks and swans this evening.
