If it Wasn't for Teddy

I took over 300 photos today and would love to share them all with you. We left Dickinson, ND and visited both the North and South Units of the Teddy Roosevelt National Park. We saw wild horses, prairie dogs, bison and some of the most spectacular land formations in the world. This picture shows my favorite. This park is a memorial to our late president in honor of his love of nature. He established the US Forest Service and signed the 1906 Antiquities Act, under which he proclaimed 18 national monuments. He worked with Congress to create five national parks, 150 national forests and dozens of federal reserves - over 230 million acres of protected land. You can go on line and see other parts of the park.
