Saturday: Stanley Seawall

Breakfast out today at 'Sophie's Cosmic Café', a great institution of a café that has been there since the early 1980s. It's a lovely traditional diner - we are sitting at the counter. We met Cosmic Sophie herself who told us that she met the Queen two years ago. Her husband is an artist and he has a piece of art in the newly refurbished Canadian High Commission in London - they went for the opening and that's how she met the Queen.

We then took a drive round Stanley Park (it was for work's photography project - I'm still out photographing things with a British connection) - here is the Seawall which goes all round the park. It's designed by a Scottish engineer who was so dedicated to the job that he continued to oversee it even after he retired. Rather annoying for his successor, I'd say.......

We watched 'Tootsie' tonight - we were chatting about it the other night and decided that it was high time to rewatch it. I'm glad we did - it's still highly entertaining and has aged really well.
