Where else could the blip have been taken than in the Netherlands? We did some shopping in Haarlem to save money on the ferry, and then went for a cycle nearby. As with most of the Netherlands the city of Haarlem, (capital of North Holland), has an extensive and well used cycle network. We parked by map point 9, and then used the map to decide where to go next. Apart from a brief hiccup where we missed a sign and ended up at the delightful canal basin in the blip, it was plain cycling. We saw a lot of birds, including Spoonbills, and also lots of cyclists of all ages. It was a good way to end our time in Europe.
