Wallace Island

Last night we watched the moon rise spectacularly over Galiano Island and listened to the sounds of Orcas (killer whales) breathing in the Trincomali Channel as we fell asleep!

Sunday morning we woke up to warm sunshine, went for a swim in the bay and explored the rock pools before having a snooze in the sunshine.* We were lucky enough to see a sea otter which swam right up to Andy and had a good look, a baby sea otter and baby racoons! In the afternoon we paddled out in the kayak up to Secretary Island in the hot sun and back to our campsite for another swim to cool off. In the evening we watched the sunset and the stars come out.
