Art Deco style

Watching the lovely 'Cafe Society' film yesterday made me want to blip one of Edinburgh's Art Deco buildings. So here is the lovely house in Old Kirk Road in Corstorphine.

During its heyday, Art Deco represented luxury, glamour, exuberance, and faith in social and technological progress. The later period of the style, called Streamline Moderne, features curving forms and long horizontal lines. The style is often characterized by rich colors, bold geometric shapes and lavish ornamentation.
