Mono Monday - Memorable

This is a diagnostic set which my Dad won as a prize when he was a medical student in the 1940s.   It consist of an ophthalmoscope for examining eyes and an auriscope (or otoscope) for examining ears.

As he became a pathologist he had little use for them so they are still in their original case in mint condition.

The modern versions are very similar and are used in much the same way although they aren't presented in such a beautiful case.   These are an antique of the future as they pre-date the NHS.
