Memorial Chairs ...

I think the vision behind the creation of this art work was that there are enough chairs here to represent every person who died in the earthquake damaged buildings in Christchurch. It is a sobering view when you drive past it in the cleared muddy central business area where the only action is that of cranes and diggers clearing further buildings.
