Yarrow Valley Country Park

Today we had a wander round this valley, now a nature area. It also has an industrial history dating back to the 1300 hundreds. Robert De Burgh made an attachment to the mill pool and altered the course of the River Yarrow.
In the 1700 hundreds a cotton spinning mill was powered by the river.
Richard Arkwright fitted his patent machines, he is often referred to as "the father of the industrial revolution".
