Wide Angle Wednesday – NOT

Sorry to use that horrible  “ . . . not” expression, but you couldn’t much further from wideangle if you tried.

This afternoon I noticed that Mrs W’s T Mount adapter ring for her microscope had close enough the same thread as our old Bresser telescope – half a millimetre in it if anything.  It’s surprising what you can achieve with a bit of insulation tape as thread packing.

The shot blipped is not the best, but it was the only one that got photo-bombed by a light aircraft.

The microwave tower is 3.6 kilometres (2.4 miles) away, and to keep in the spirit of WidWed the first of the ‘Extras’ is a wideangle shot (18mm), the mast being centre on the horizon. The second extra is a telescopic of the bottom of the tower.  Heaven knows what magnification the scope was on, it was bought in the mid nineties and the instructions etc have disappeared.

Stop press – or to put it another way ps:

As I was writing up my blip I was about to say that we could do with a T Mount extension tube – then stopped . . .

There is now an extra Extra taken with 65mm worth of macro extension tubes between the camera and the T Mount.

One problem - I seem to have picked up a lot of dust - again!!
