Cultural outings

I have had a wonderfully busy day...gym this morning, my French lesson at the Alliance Francaise,  then listening to an amazing lunch hour organ recital on our incredible Feathermarket organ, and then a walk around the Donkin memorial , camera in hand.
These are life size steel laser-cut sculptures depicting the voting queue in our first democratic election in 1994 when people from all walks of life could vote . To the extreme right of the picture is a larger than life metal figure of Nelson Mandela. The background is the Elizabeth Donkin memorial and old Donkin lighthouse.
Last night we went to an outstanding concert where we listened to a pianist and singer - a combination I'm not always fond of, but this was an exception.
And tonight hubby and I are going out to dinner...a good ending!
