Take over

As anticipated, the Briza is making a bid to take over.  The seed heads were delightful dancing in the sunlight and in a gentle breeze.  The chances of ALL the heads staying still for a shot were minimal so I did the best I could.

A planning morning morning was followed by some manual labour around the beech tree.  It means separating some well rotted horse manure left by our predecessors from gravel as well as dealing with matted roots of the trees.  Just as well the horse manure didn't look or smell like it once did.  And it will be useful for something.
