Gazania

Went on bus trip to Bendigo, a rural city of 80,000 with a great history of being an early gold mining town and with a great history of Chinese settlement.  As we entered the city I noticed the nature strips (verges) were ablaze with these Gazania, all self seeded and spread throughout. The  Blip is SOOC as I have little time at the moment to Blip, comment or thank my very supportive Blippers. This shot I took at the front of  our grandson's home when he showed us through his new digs. I love the detail and vibrance in the flower which originates from South Africa, but obviously thrives in Australia's temperate regions.
