Chickens!!!!!

hurricani iniki hit kaua'i on september 11, 1992 and did tremendous damage. one of the results from the hurricane was the freeing of domestic chickens.

they have been multiplying ever since. the island is covered with tens of thousands of chickens. they are every where!!! both places we stayed at had roosters that crowed all night long. quite annoying.

i asked why people didn't capture and eat them and was told that they are fighting stock and very tough to eat.
