Split Logs

Mostly at home today on a lovely late summer day. Activities were cutting a lot of grass and splitting a fair number of logs.
The back row was chopped whie the visitors were here but the front row was today's work.  I reckon one hour's splitting gives enough wood for four evenings of cosiness, or alternatively enough wood to give one day's extra warmth should it turn really cold in the winter, -30 for a few dys in a row for instance.
This is only the most conveniently placed stack. We have two more so it looks like we are OK for this coming winter.
The extra shows the logs, axe, block and split wood.
