Inuksuk?

A marker looking rather like an Inuit Inuksuk - though made of distictly 20th-21st century materials - beside the rather bleak upland track that leads off the South Downs Way and follows the ridge of Swanborough Hill, south of the dewpond and old farm buildings at Broadpit, north of Saltdean.

Today's 'extras' feature a gate a little further to the east - the junction of the track to Breaky Bottom - and, in between the two, a rather weathered memorial to a certain "John Harvey Esq. of Ickwell Bury in the County of Bedford, [who] died suddenly in this spot on the 20th day of June 1819".
