Loosing time

It's been another lovely day.  Unfortunately, I've spent most of it inside.

The day didn't start well, with an early call from Flagship - dad had fallen, and although it sounded as if he hadn't hurt himself, they were sending an ambulance.  Met dad in A&E - a couple of minor abrasions on his arms, but otherwise OK - maybe he just fancied a trip in an ambulance!  I took him home, met his morning carer, and handed dad over to his care, before returning to work.

This afternoon, a talk on terrorist attacks - bit boring, but helped to get us thinking about the possibility.  The UK alert status is "severe".

At leaving off time, clouds were massing around the sun in the west, with lovely - but rather "damp looking" crepuscular rays.  I thought this was typical, tomorrow and the weekend off - and it is bound to rain the entire time!

In fact, by the time I got home, the sky had cleared again, and we enjoyed a wander around the garden in the evening sun.  Sitting in the garden room for dinner at 7.30pm, we had the door open.  And in fact, the patio door is still open now - 9.15pm.

W has been putting shelves and hooks into the new garden shed, in preparation for moving the gardening stuff in there.  That is our job for tomorrow, in between doing a freezer stock for dad, and various other mundane chores.  Looking forward to the weekend, and a trip over to Rugby to check on the progress of my grandson.
