Dinner at the Bite House.

We are so lucky to have such talented folks living close by......Bryan Pickard, a young chef, decided to open a very unusual dining experience!   In his farm house, with space for only 12 people, and a set menu.....oh and i forgot to mention he's in the middle of nowhere!!!   Well, into his second year, The Bite House has a waiting list that is months long!   I have had the pleasure of supplying him with handmade pottery bowls and plates etc., and we do a lovely bit of barter!   I had to wait 2 months to get my reservation, that's how popular his place is!   and it is no wonder...the food is so outstanding and amazing.....

Terry and i had a wonderful evening there tonight.   This is the second course....mussels in a smoked tomato broth, with the most amazing colours and the taste was too die for!   6 courses are served, along with wine....and the waitress, Barbara...is the most engaging woman!   The last time we were there she was about 7 months pregnant!   Needless to say, she looked a bit smaller this evening!  She is delightful and just lovely to have as a waitress!

There was also grilled tuna with a green tomato and apple relish, lamb and potatoes in a creamed dill sauce, the desert was out of this world.....i really can't remember what it all entailed...but it was amazing!
