unraveled magnolia flower

So today was a really long day. As I think about it I wonder, "Was all of that today?"  It started out uneventful and I got to my Garden Club meeting on time this morning......good thing, they started exactly at 10AM! The speaker was teaching us about trees and how to properly prune them; it was interesting learning about what happens if you severely prune a tree. When asked about fruit trees, he said they should only be in orchards and not in the landscape of a home. When he sat at my table for lunch, I asked some questions about my birch trees and he said they would probably be dead within three years because of the birch bore. So, now I want to remove my fruit trees because he is correct, the apples aren't the best looking and most of them end up on the ground. And I need to find a couple of trees to start growing now so that I will have shade when the Birch trees are gone.
Then I went to the Tire Store and had new tires put on my car; it only has 25,000 miles but the original tires are starting to split. I had a nice walk in the nearby neighborhood while the tires were being installed. (That is where I saw several magnolia tree with blooms on them. I liked this bud that seemed to be split open on this side. I liked the fuzzy bud cover curing back. Then I stopped at the store to get a pretty pot for the succulent plant I bought at garden club. I got home and hubby needed to get to Costco to get a RX; while we were there, he received a return call from his doctor and after describing what has been happening for him, she told him to get himself to the Emergency Room as soon as possible. So off to the hospital we go.....he is sure he is going to die....but I was assuring him he would probably be back in his own bed tonight. (Which he is right now.) Anyway, after 4 hours of tests and monitors....he has to get to a specialist tomorrow and possibly have surgery in the near future. I am still concerned....but it does no good to worry....we will follow through and get to the specialist tomorrow.
Are you really still reading this? Well, thanks for listening. I hope we all have a good end of the week and weekend!
