85mm Nikkor

I really wanted this lens to work for me. I can use it in manual focus and did use it a few times on model shoots as a test but even with the focus peaking feature on the Sony to help with manual focusing, it's still missing focus a good deal of the time. You really need autofocus with the 85mm.....to get the background blur for portraits you have to shoot wide open. In this case F/2. On some 85 lenses it's 1.8 or 1.4 etc.....but only the expensive lenses are sharp at that millimeter. I now have the Sony 55mm and I can get this effect with it....and autofocus! Goodbye all my Nikon gear!
