weather wise today. Drizzle , then cleared and by tonight it is like a November night. Blowing a hooligan and raining.
Wee brother and the 2 herds were at the Kelso tup sales today buying some new Rams. They got 2 Beltex, a Berrichon du Cher and a Bluefaced Leicester .
The Beltex and Berichon are used to produce fat lambs and the Blue is crossed with Blackface hill sheep to produce a mule lamb . We then keep the best ewe lambs for breeding ewes on the lower ground crossed with a Suffolk ,Texel or Lleyn.
