Anyone for Tea?

I saw this vintage enamel advertising sign shouting out as I drove home through Ironbridge tonight. My 'short attention span' research tells me its from around the 1950's

Arthur Brooke opened his first shop in Manchester in 1869, it originally sold only tea, coffee and sugar. Brooke Bond were pioneers in promotion introducing collector cards in the 1950's usually with 50 in a series they ceased in 1999 after an incredible 200 sets.

Not only pioneers in promotion but also TV advertising they famously introduced the Chimps in 1956. Today the heritage of the chimps association with the brand lives on through Johnny Vegas and Munkeh promoting PG Tips. Munkeh is my favourite advertising character ever!!
