"That Tree"

I'm sure that this must be one of the most photographed trees in the Lake District, it's on the edge of Blea Tarn we had a photography workshop day and true to lake district form it rained! However we're well trained photographers prepared to brave any weather for our art and so we made our way tentatively through flooded single track roads to get there. Most people stuck to the relative shelter of the woods, however as the morning progressed I was mostly wet anyway and so decided to shoot in the open more. here you get the tree separated from the hills in the background by a swathe of rain / cloud.
